Adrian Cronje is founding partner and Chief Investment Officer of Balentine, the Atlanta-based wealth management firm. Previously, Adrian served as Senior Vice President and Chief Investment Strategist at Wilmington Trust and chaired its Investment Strategy Team. Adrian began his career at Schroders in London as the Director, Deputy Head of Quantitative Equity Products.
Adrian holds a Ph.D. in Macroeconomics and Econometrics and a master’s degree in Economics and Finance from the University of Cambridge, United Kingdom. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Economics, with honors, from the University of Cape Town, South Africa. Adrian is a CFA charterholder and an active member of the CFA Institute. A frequently requested speaker, Adrian has published several papers and addressed audiences around the country on topics relating to investments and the investment industry. He also enjoys teaching and is a recurrent guest lecturer at several prominent local universities.
He is the Founding President of the not-for-profit A+ Squash, serves on the Board of Trustees and chairs the Investment Committee of the Agnes Scott College, and is a member of the Rotary Club of Atlanta. He has been a member of Vistage 151 since 2010. In 2010, Adrian was awarded The Atlanta Business Chronicle’s Top 40 Under 40 Award, an honor designating the region’s up and coming business and community leaders.
